2014

Chen graduated from Tanglin Secondary School before he proceeded on to Ngee Ann Polytechnic in which he obtained a diploma in Film, Sound and Video. He married Actress Kate Pang in 2013 after a secret courtship and they have a son Aden (born June 30, 2014) and a daughter Avery (born June 16, 2016). Chen and Pang has a parenting channel named KandieNetwork which was launched in 2016.

2015

Chen has made his stage debut in August 2015, taking up a lead role in the third staging of the popular Mandarin musical, December Rains, by Toy Factory Productions. The musical, directed by Goh Boon Teck and written by renowned local Songwriter Liang Wern Fook, also stars Chriz Tong and Sugie Phua, with songs co-written by Liang and composer-singer Jimmy Ye.

He was given his first television roles the following year, most notably in the blockbuster period drama The Little Nyonya.
